Hackett Ready for the High Banks of Bristol:
Friday night Ryan Hackett and the Ray Hackett Racing team will attempt their first Nationwide Series start of the year in the Food City 250 at the famous Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The team has a new car and a fresh Roush/Yates engine and driver Ryan Hackett is looking forward to a strong showing. This will be Hackett’s second Nationwide Series attempt at the .533 mile oval. In 2008, Hackett caught the eye of many competitors in the garage area with his practice showing at Bristol. At one point in practice two years ago, a representative from Roush-Fenway Racing came over to team owner Ray Hackett and stated that Ryan was running laps on old tires that were the exact same times as NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Greg Biffle. Unfortunately, a mechanical problem in qualifying for the race kept Hackett out of the field. The team will look for some redemption at one of Ryan’s favorite tracks. Sponsor JandR Supply Corp. will be on board as the primary sponsor for the race.
